Mask Your IP Address in Google Analytics: A Step-by-Step Guide
Exclude your computer from Google Analytics by following these steps:
- Go to the Google Analytics control panel and select the appropriate account and profile.
- Click on the "Admin" tab and select "Properties" then "Manage filters".
- Click on "Add new filter". Give the filter a name, such as "Exclude own traffic".
- Select "Exclude own traffic" as the filter type.
- Enter your computer's IP address as the filter pattern.
- Click on "Save filter".
Now traffic from your computer will no longer be recorded in Google Analytics. Keep in mind that this only applies to the specific IP address you created the filter with, so if you have multiple devices or locations, you may need to create multiple filters.
